If I had the foresight back then I would have taken the tailgate from my CJ3A, stripped it and turned it into a table.

I would probably build it in however it came to me, I would love the Volkswagen letters to be a different color though. I'm thinking of putting the tailgate deep into the wood, and then getting some glass to put over it.

I want to make one for my dad but an ol' Chevy tailgate would be a bit big for a coffee table.
